Quest of Life Media & Broadcast is out of funds. Our Website has been suspended due to funds owed, QLRadio will be shut down in the coming week due to lack of funds. Phones/Internet/Mail Service all end in the next 10 days as well. We need approx. $1000 to continue our work. We need your help to continue playing your music and the music of the LGBT community. This is it. Our website is just the first casualty. If you value your music reaching an audience we need your support yesterday. You can make a one-time contribution or a monthly contribution
The Quest of Life Media & Broadcast We need your support TODAY to keep http://QLRadio.org on the air.
Websites have been suspended due to lack of funds. QLRadio will cease broadcasting at the end of the week due to lack of funds.
After that we will be forced to shut down QoLMB.
This may very well be the last week of this organization devoted to supporting independent LGBT singer songwriter musicians.
If you care about our community’s music reaching a wider audience………..

Quest of Life Media & Broadcast has been talking about our 1st Anniversary for several days now.
If you are an artist and have passed this onto your fans and followers, thank you. We want to share the LGBT communities’ music with as many ears as we can possibly reach.
We began sharing about this milestone last Wednesday the 30th and in the last 5 days our fundraiser for 2019 operations has brought in a total of…….$10.
Our main Facebook page alone has 394 followers. We have 12+ media sites on about 8 platforms. If our fans shared our mission and fundraising goals and just 2 of their fans/followers/friends contributed $10, we would basically be set to continue broadcasting on QLRadio the rest of the year, get our Tour Venue Database up and running, and provide grants to new and emerging artist looking to put out their first CD.
The ways that we can support LGBT singer/songwriters is limited only by imagination but first we need to pay operational expenses. If everyone who reads this shares it and encourages it to be further shared and we received $10 from just 2 people who saw each share, more and more ears would hear your amazing music.
Check out our 1st Anniversary and 2019 Fundraising Letter

It talks about what we’ve accomplished in our first year and what we hope to do in the future, a future that can only be provide by you.
Cheers, and thank you for all the encouragement and support. Steve

Quest of Life Media & Broadcast
On February 1, 2018, the website and social media pages for Quest of Life Media & Broadcast went LIVE!
What began in October 2016 with the thought “What more can be done for the LGBT Independent Artist Community” had developed into a structure.
QLRadio
On February 17, 2018 QLRadio went LIVE broadcasting music from LGBT Independent Artists. Our own radio station was not in the plan 16 days earlier. We were partnering with an existing source. It became quickly apparent that we needed faster and more control of this marketing tool. Voila’.
Nonprofit Operations
Our projected 2019 Operational Budget is $3000. This is essential administrative costs: Licensing, Communications, Etc.
Emerging Artist Grants
We would like to launch our Yearly Emerging Artist Grants program in the Fall 2019. For this we are looking at an additional $3000. The emerging artist grants are awarded to newer or first time release artists. Nothing encourages creativity and pride in accomplishment than holding your own music CD. I know, Christmas 2018 we released a holiday compilation album. This was a long time dream of mine and I still grin when I see it.
Venue Database
Also in 2019 we would like to get our Tour Venue Database up and running. This database will help LGBT artists planning tours to locate venues in their planned areas of travel. These venues will welcome them, support them and help them feel safe in unfamiliar parts.
Start Up Expenses
Near the end of 2018 we were able to eliminate some of our startup debt thanks to you. We still have a little more to go and would like to eliminate that in the first half of 2019.
Audience
In our first year we have had visitors to QLRadio and our related websites from over 40 countries (See Image Below). Life for LGBT people in some of these countries is quite volatile. I’m excited by the thought that we might be a beacon of hope.
Programming

When I set out to create an entity that would provide support to the LGBT singer/songwriter/musician community my vision was a lump of clay and I had no idea how to even make the wheel spin.
I reached out to a handful of people for ideas and feedback and through that molded and created Quest of Life Media & Broadcast. QLRadio followed later, I initially had a different forum for marketing your music and quickly realized QoLMB wanted and needed more control.
When we launched I had spent everyday with the organization for over a year, I had it clear in my head. Building the brand in the community would take longer and be more difficult than I ever imagined. There have been a few times in the last 11 and 1/2 months since we launched that I was not sure I had it in me to continue. Last week was one of those and probably the worst one of them all.
Then I reached out and was overwhelmed by the support I received. I asked and the community responded. I’m determined to carry on. QLRadio and Quest of Life will march on through tomorrow and will see our 1 Year Anniversary on February 1st.
Thank you so very much for responding when it was a critical moment, and it is still important.
PS 🙂 February is coming fast and we will need those operating funds again. Currently our proposed budget for 2019 is at bare bones $3000. The sooner we have those funds the faster we can focus on the other ideas we have for supporting LGBT singer/songwriters/musicians. Watch for our 2019 Operational Campaign “COMING SOON”
Oh but please don’t feel you have to wait to support us.

Sincerely,
Steve
Quest of Life Media & Broadcast needs your help today. We need your tax deductible contribution today. Our funds are depleted and without your tax-deductible contribution today, our BMI, ASCAP, and SESAC (as well as their Canadian counterparts, SOCAN and Re:Sound, and U.K. counterparts, PPL and PRS for Music) licenses will expire, our internet radio access will expire and our phone service will expire and QLRadio will discontinue broadcasting on Tuesday Jan. 15, 2019. We made huge ground up in November and December and were able to pay off a substantial amount of our start up costs. We need your help today to continue our work beyond Tuesday the 15th, 3 days from now. We hope to be able to continue our mission of assisting the LGBT music community with album production, marketing through QLRadio, and in the future grants and tour planning assistance. We need your support today to be able to move forward and continue to build on the following we have had join us since Feb. 2018. We hope you find value in the work we have been doing and in the assistance our mission lays out, in the future. Please consider a tax deductible donation today of any amount. Tuesday Jan. 15, 2019 QLRadio will cease broadcasting with the communities support today. Cheers and have a wonderful weekend! Steve
